Not to mention using a firearm to rob someone. That sure compounds the charges.
There were stupid folks on both sides of that rukus. The dumber of the 2 being the guy in the bmw. Posting a pic of a robbery he committed. 
He took the camera as evidence of what happened. How do you know he did not report the incident, have the camera returned and just saved the film? Pulling the gun was perfectly reasonable also. He had a lady with him and was being followed/harrassed by two idiots who wanted a physical altercation.
The better option would have been to just drive to a police station, but the way it went down was fine too. BMW Guy: Epic Win.
