« on: December 30, 2010, 07:34:10 PM »

It will let me run it offline, but when I get in arena's it will start to lag.

you barely make the minimum requirements to run the game. Turning everything to it's lowest setting is your only chance to run it smooth.

So how would you run it if you were in my situation?

I can turn Anti-Aliasing all the way up np.

I can also turn on all the shadowing and what not. But when I get to Advanced Terrain it would lag .

Well you have a decision to make, do you want the game to play smoothly, or do you want "eye candy"?

Anti-alisan takes a ton to run if you are even running it. If it is turned off in your graphics cards properties it isn't running in the game. For me I'd rather have the game run smoothly. If planes are jumping all over the place it's just going to get me more frustrated seeing as I have trouble hitting them when they stand still !!

I would go into my graphics card and set it up for "application assigned". This makes the options available to everything for every program, but the programs that hit it harder you can adjust.

Next go into the game and start with the textures at 256. You may have to drop them to 128, but its a good place to start.

You should go through Tiggers write up on how to set up your graphics. Check it out here. He wrote up a set by set guide in pdf format on how to get the best out of your system.

Do you have Vsync disabled?  Reason I ask is that your monitors refresh rate is 60Hz so you should max at 60 FR.  If you did disable it, uncheck the check box this is for testing purposes only (as stated in the video settings).  Your on-board (on motherboard not a separate card) Video will only improve slightly with some BIOS tweaks and added system memory.  The reason for added system memory is that on-board video gets its memory for the most part from the system memory.  Adding memory will enable you to add it to the video "Chipset" within the BIOS.  As said above your system barely meets minimum requirements.  Do you have the Hi Res Graphics installed?  Is your "Max Texture Size" set to at least 1024?  These are all questions that need to be answered before you can move forward to finding out what you can and can not turn on.

The 6150SE should not be run with any of the "Advanced" graphic options checked, except for "Bump Mapping".  The card is simply too slow to handle anything more than that.
