Just an FYI as well, if you are looking to destroy buildings in town or on the base, there is a difference in the M4-75 and the M4-76. The M4-75 HE main rounds actually do more damage than the M4-76 HE main round. Town buildings require 2 hits from the 75 and 3 hits from the 76.  :salute
also explosions can carry more than one building with a 75 HE. those things are powerful

The splash damage you are referring to is a characteristic of all the HE rounds in the game.  Try hitting a building on the corner nearest another building.  In many cases you can bring down more than one building with just the minimal number of shots just as if you were aiming in the middle of a single building.

The current HE damage scale for tanks has the Tiger and T34/85 at the top with an equal 234 points, and behind them is the M4A3/75mm with 178.  Then, the T34/75, Pzr IV, LVT-4, and Panther all have 156.  (Tip of the Day!) Don't forget to factor in reload time and ammo capacity, both of those two "sub"-categories often get over looked when a person contemplates what to take against OBJ (towns).   :aok

I've found a few horseshoe shaped berms with the hollow facing away from the spawn. These are great hiding spots. Usually if your not seen at a 90 degree look, then the aggressor will just carry on. and a lot of tanks have softer back-sides.  :aok

you found a few hull down spots, every time i go out i can never find one.

Hull downs & hides are great, but only half of the full tanker skillset.  Practice running and gunning:  start out sitting still, fire, move the tank, stop & fire, reposition the tank, etc.  Eventually this will build up to full blown driving and gunning with little or no sitting still at all.  You will die a lot, but you will get better in your favorite tank.
