This is the best thing I've seen from HTC in a long long time. This kind of surprises make the Sim live.

IS american, but I dont mind, this has been a wonderful surprise   WTG HTC! you are really class people

Now...lets hope my A5 eats that P47D

YEHHAAA... As soon as I saw this post I left work calling sick ...LOL... It's a P47D whohoooo my fav plane with the mossie    )

I don't really like the paint job, I feel like flying a circus aircraft but but but it's a P47D Muahahahaha.

And what a monster it is!  I've only flown it offline so far, but .....

Took off from A1, trimmed to about 230 kts and then power dived her to 3000feet. At 420 mph I hit WEP and pulled up into a gentle zoom climb.

WHOA!  She stood on her tail and screamed upwards.  At 9000feet she was still indicating slightly over 100mph...  I let her continue the zoom to slightly over 10000 feet before hammerheading back down.

She's fast, she's armed, she zooms like you wouldn't believe.

And now I have to decide between the Fw190A-5 and the P-47.

Damn you HTC!

Yup. Turns a bit like a C47, but verticle and rolls.....

 Hate to say it but the P-47 was removed from service in the arena due to (I believe) a P-47 load out bug that was dumping people offline.

In US comparison tests I've read the (late-model) P-47D out-turned the Fw 190A above 15k.

Well, I'm glad the P-47 is finally here, but..
Ugly, ugly paint job.
Try to compare the pilot armor with the P-51...somethings not right here...as it is, it's almost more restricting that the F6-art used in WB.
Cockpit layout: Can only see half the instrument while looking ahead.
Bombshackels on wings: Should only be there, when wing ordinance is selected; These were removed if they weren't needed on a per sortie basis.
Somethings odd with the fuselage shape too..can't quite put my finger on what it is, but I think the rear fuselage is too thick.
Can't really comment on the FM, as I dont know if it's carrying the weight of 14 .50 cals or only 8, but it feels too sloppy. (You have too move the stick too much to get a response)
Also need a medium ammo loadout:
425 was the max load, 325 the most common, 267 was a small loadout.
