That little fellas smile is what its all about. 
Thanks all...I'd say he's ready to just anytime Ill take him. He's a good kid. He's so damn smart it's scarey. Lil bit hyper but hell he's just 8.
By the end of the day he was casting the rod I let him use pretty well and talking to another 8 year old about how he fought the fish. I was standing there just laughing at them 2 talking like they were anglers from on high and knew all about fishinig.
I can hardly wait for my grandsons to be older so they can go like that as well. My oldest grandson lasts about 30 minutes then he just wants to go swing at the playground...he's 4 and plays football.
Christian now....he's a differant story. Whatever I do he follows. HE and I are now joined at the hip most of the time. He likes to watch football with granpa and last night I was catching up on some fishing shows I had recorded and he was all about watching them as well. He's a lil over 2 yo.. Right now Grandpa is the man and I love it....he just melts me and I'm a wuss when he wants his hershy's kisses grandma leaves on the counter just so he can see em.
Last night I made him hamburgers and Mac and cheese....He saw me put Heinze 57 on my burger and wouldn't have one thing to do with the ketchup I was going to give him....oh hell no...he wanted the 57 to.
Just dipped his bites in it and he and I sat and ate like buds and watched some fishing. Was awsome.
So all in all yesterday was a great day....got to hang with the great nephew and grandson....Got to see the great nephew haul in a chunk of a bass and eat heinze burgers with my grandson.
