What is certain is that the Broncos got the better deal in the QB trade between the Bears and Broncos....
Cutler is nothing but a big hairy cat. :)

Not so fast. I still think that Jay has the potential, he just hasn't realized it fully yet.

(He sure did look like a big hairy cat sitting on the sidelines though.  )

I'm going to withhold judgment before I completely decide on Cutler but I do seem to recall Emmit Smith fighting through a separated shoulder against the Giants in a playoff game.  Say what you want to about the Cowboys but the triplets were warriors on the field at least.

Cutler has a level 2 (partial tear) Sprain MCL.

Yes you can walk on it but you do not have stability to make cuts and planting your foot.

Even though I am a Green Bay fan that lives in Chicago, I feel really Sorry for Cutler.

I don't. What happened to REAL football players that played with broken bones and blown out knees? The ones who played for the game and not the money?

Really.... I take you have had a Partial torn MCL before?  So you can tell me how well you move around on it.  Come on give me your expert medical knowledge.

I had a Partially torn MCL before.   I can tell you when walking on the leg it feels like the knee is going to fall off the tib/fib.  Feels like you have no support on that leg.

Also it wasn't his choice to be pulled from the game.  Team Doctors told the coach he should not be playing.   Lovie put him in a series after the half and then pulled him.  He did not say "I can play keep me in."  Lovie said "your hurt and I am taking you out."

And you question his toughness... I have yet to see him complained about how many times he has been sacked over the 2 years he has played for the
Bears.  Some of the sacks he was almost killed in.

Why I am sticking up for the Bears.  The Bears did no service for him what so ever by saying he is questionable for the rest of the game he should have been listed as OUT.  They should have put him in the training room, or had him change to street cloths.

The only broken bones players actually played with were toes/foot/hand/fingers. Any other bones and your out, same with a MCL tare. This isn't some petty injury, it is a potentially career ending one if you push it too much.

You have to remember this is their career, yes it is a game but this is how they make a living. When you have a injury at work and it has the potential to end your career, you do NOT just stand back up and ignore your doctor.

Give me a break. No support? Then how was that limp wrist weak boy standing up? Walking around? Riding that bike? Unless you have a Phd in sports medicine shut it.

Im with most of the NFL players on this one that complained about him that had the SAME EXACT INJURY before. He cost his team the game by being a weakbait over paid sissy boy. Boot the tard.

If Cutler could not plant and throw, he was not going to help the team any longer. The guy should get credit, took numerous sacks throughout the season, took the team to the playoffs, and also by the way he is class 1 diabetic. It was a coaching decision and he was pulled from the game.

So if you physically can't go in the game how about getting off your keester and helping out the third stringer who had to take your place?

No I don't have a Phd.  I guess my Paramedic license working on a fire department, and also working as an ER paramedic means nothing. OR the fact I  volunteer my time at my old high school in the training room does not account for anything.  I seen a few of these injuries.

Like I said you can walk on the leg but you feel very unstable.  Same how I felt when I had the same injury.  Yes I could walk, my rehad did have me riding a bike.  If you asked me to push off the leg or make and quick move I could not do it.

Bip

Gotta go with jebus on this one.  If you can't plant or move laterally in that position you are a liability to the team. And yes I've had that injury.  It's not much fun.  I'm not ready to anoint Cutler as a 'great' qb but, based on the information that came out today, I'm not going to brand him as a gutless wonder either.  That said I do think he could have been more actively involved in helping the other qb's with advice.  But we don't know the internal dynamics of how the team is run.  Coaches in Chi might have told him to stay out of the mix and let the coaches coach.
