Porked CH Pro Throttles.

I have had my CH Pro Throttle for over a year (also have Pro Rudders and Pro Fighterstick).  A few weeks ago the throttle control started spiking and then losing its full range of control.  It would be working fine, and then drop to 80%, 50% or even idle at any given time without my moving the control.  I cleaned the pot 2 times and retried it, still nothing but trouble.  After recalibrating nearly every flight, I finally removed it from Windows and used the keyboard.  
   Last week I found a used CH Pro Throttle for $30.  So I bought it hoping that it would hold me until I can afford all USB gear.  The new/used one worked perfectly, for a week.  Now It's doing the same thing that the old one was doing, spiking cutting to 0, 50 or any % all on its own.

So my question is;                  
Coincidence, or is something else goofy in my system?
Would new pots fix these throttles?

I had similar problems, but not as severe, using Pro Throttle, standard Pedals, and Combatstick.  I tried new pots, different sticks, and leaving the rudders out of the circuit.  It seems to only happen when all three are connected.

So I figured it's probably some kind of electrical noise caused by the connectors or the length of all the cables connected together.  Or possibly a gamecard problem.

My solution was to go digital.  I'm all-USB as of today.

I have a pro-throt and a ch fighterstick. Both are fine and sturdy. I have had both of them for about three years. The only trouble I have had was with the pots, and then once with the control cords on my throt. I wrote to CH and then sent me extra pots and also responded quickly when I had to send my throt back to them; each time I was not charged for the repair or the assistance.
But, what you described indicates that you have another problem. If you are not using a gamecard with your setup, you will get spiking due to noise. Also, if your soundcard is not digital you will always get noise. remedy, get an SB Live soundcard and/or a CH gamecard. The problem you describe will go away.
