New map cycling
« on: January 13, 2011, 12:40:25 PM »
what  the  blazes is up with this new map schedule? the old one worked great. Now everyone is complaining before with  2 arenas open for late war everyone could get what they wanted out of the game one was usually packed ( with those damn weird arenas caps) and the other was  more laid back get in some good 1v1's and work on your base capturing teamwork. SO why did it have to change from something everyone apparently liked, to this same miserable, tiny, 2 base front (for the rooks) every freaking day?Im not playing  hardly at all  so damn sick of that map. so unfortunately if it stays that way where we only get the same cheesy little map every day this will more than likely be my last month paying for something i don't play anymore. very sad to say  because i have had alot of fun over the years and made some very good friends. but the game keeps changing more and more from a sim to a arcade shootum up game A great man always told me if it isint broke DONT fix it!
I have always been loyal to the game but when they start ignoring what the people like and want..well, the times they are a changin.....

I'm getting tired of these threads. It seems a new one is sparked every day.

Don't let the door hit ya on he way out.

You've had fun and made good friends, but you are going to throw a tantrum and leave because of a cartoon pixil map?  Guess those friends aren't that much fun eh?

3 months on the BBS and THIS is your first post?   because i normally dont see much on the way of constructive responses just ones like in here so in short i feel it normally is a waste of time. But i felt very strongly on this issue i have put up with them  screwin the game up and fixing it for many years now but to only have 2-3 bases for the samw front every single day and pay for it too? not likely. And to the other poster not worried about the door  its a slide open :P

 :salute Sir!

I think you should keep playing, have a bit more patience and allow the game to continue developing.  Try to look more at what you do like and what you do not like will be minimalized.  Maybe, not every change has been perfect for gameplay but without changes we would still be complaining about what we have.  Allow the game designers to try things that they believe will have a positive intended outcome.  Allow the game designers to make mistakes and correct them with the next change.  It is afterall a very complicated fluid environment because of the human factor.  Some of the changes they make will have unintended results because each individual that plays interacts differently and the way the changes affect their gameplay cannot always be accurately forecast.

Finally sir, if we only looked at the game as it is illustrated in these forums, I don't think anyone would be here.  The forums are hell, the game is heaven.

this was an idea floated by a player, and it got good reviews from......wait for it..........more players..........so ht gave the players what they wanted, and now suddenly, they don't seem to want it.

i know not everyone wanted it. apparently quite a few did though, as it got good reviews......otherwise, i suspect ht wouldn't have done it.
