Was thinking the same thing... I used to play collegiate level paintball.  I had at least $1,200 into my ICD Freestyle not counting the 45/45 tank and Halo hopper, and that was nothing compared to the guys with $2K+ Egos, DM6s, Timmys, etc.  Spent about $80 a weekend in paint too, plus travel and tournament entrance fees.  It was an expensive hobby.

The difference with Paitball and airsoft as I see it, is that airsoft is more of a military combat scenario game.  Whereas paintball is more of a fast paced action team sport.  There are fewer and fewer paintballers into scenarios and military stuff, I think airsoft has taken over that niche.    Most of the paintball market now is in the more sport-like fast paced speedball or x-ball games.  With international pro leagues like PSP and NPPL it seems that way to me.

I played paintball from the mid 90's through 2006, and while I started out sneaking around in the woods, after a couple years I got into speedball and never played "woodsball" again.  Playing a fast paced team game on a standard inflatable field, is a lot more fun to me then sneaking around for hours in the trees.

I'd like an open field, plus the place i go to play at, is building an outdoor course so i'ma do sniper cover cause i'm more of like that.

you ever shot a real sniper rifle?

other than the M-24, which i train on a few times each month, i've shot the AW .338 LAPUA MAG, Cheytac .416, Mossin Nagant, Garand, 30-06 Kragg, list goes on.... all these rounds kick like a mule.

i've also had some trigger time on the M-82 .50 cal BMG. if it wasn't for the blowback in the barrel, i would not have a shoulder left :lol

I have an old spyder paintball gun that i got when i was about 14.  Ive had it for 7 years and its still going strong.  On the other hand my Tippmann A-5 cost me about $400 all together with the flatline barrel and upgraded trigger systems.  It works just fine for me.

18 and older. Had a married couple come in and play a few days ago. Had a 50 year old man play with his M4. I myself was actually hit my some camper noobs in a building called the kill house. Got me in the neck full auto and it was dripping blood. Knee got messed up to, and i have a blood blister on my trigger finger

Allow me to be the first to call BS on this one.
BS

unless you had speed jacked up to like 600fps which is extremely dangerous and stupid.

As cool as that story sounds, I'm quite sure you couldn't hit the side of a barn at 10ft. with that "AEG" of yours. As for the rest of your story, I'm willing to place a low start of $100 that it is a huge exaggeration, anyone else want to bet on it?

Beleive what you will. I got pelted by a 400 FPS gun from 5 feet away. Don't tell me that don't make you bleed

It doesn't; I've been lit up like a christmas tree from point blank by some idiot first timer with a high powered plastic gun like yours.
