Didn't I hear something about that being a rather dangerous place?

Dallas or Fort Worth?

Not particularly dangerous.  In Dallas you need to dress nicer, be more pretentious, and pretend to be rich.  In Fort Worth you dress down and, if you're rich, pretend to be poor.

The GREAT thing about Fort Worth and Arlington is every time we flush Dallas gets a drink.  Well, that's the rumor anyway :D

Oh wait.. you meant Palestine TX.. no worries there.  They're a very friendly folk. Look closely and you can find Bartles AND James in front of the general store.  Rumor is they got indoor plumbing last month but I, personally, don't believe it. Thank the dear lord that it's not in Fannin county where where 'if they're not good enough for their family they're not good enough for ours' is a family motto, inbreeding is practically law, and the family tree looks like a cedar fence post.  In fact you only have to wander next door to find an inbred banjo geek aka 'Deliverance'.

Fannin county makes Anderson county look practically urbane in comparison.  Just don't question pork rinds, people carrying firearms openly, God, country, or claim to be a liberal, and you'll be okay.  Failing the above you might find yourself exploring the depths of the family 'well' courtesy of the local Sheriff.

Just sayin ;)

Yeah but I just felt like going to Lake Palestine for a change of pace. I fish mainly RayBob, Lewisville, Grapevine, Cedar Creek, Texoma and sometimes Lavon, and very seldom Palestine. Heck Grapevine and Lewisville are within 30 minutes or less. These came off brush in 25 feet of water on jigs. Got on the water about 7:30 and fished till noon. It was a little slow but fun to get out.

What does crappie taste like?

Very white, non greasy and light tasting fish highly regarded as table fare.

Cajuns call them "sac a lait" which means sack of milk.

The length limit is 10 inches and 25 daily in Texas.

This was a nice one a couple of years back.

Guess I was a bit too subtle. Was supposed to be punning on the middle east....
