What do you think about Les Miles going to Mich?

i think it's a good deal, they need someone like him up in Michigan.

seriously though, i think S. Carolina (no, really) and Alabama will be the SEC next year.

S. Carolina

I think the only thing holding them back was their QB, they don't have a bad offense, but they had a mediocre QB.

I'd say if Les Miles stays at LSU, the SEC could very well have 4 MAYBE 5 teams in the running for the BCS National Championship. If Auburn keeps most of their players, they are in the running, LSU is coming up strong for next year (looks like), Florida has a new coach but still have a solid base, Alabama, Arkansas could be a surprising team. I wouldn't be surprised if the SEC wins the National Championship for years to come.

i wouldn't push it to far saying SEC will win the NC for years to come.

Why not? The SEC was in turmoil this year and we still won the NC. Once Tennessee gets up and running, that is 6 great teams in the SEC. The only bad teams I see in the SEC next year are Vandy and unfortunately, my cats.  :cry

Miss St. might also turn some heads next year.

Les Miles is staying at LSU so that puts them back in the running to be the SEC West Champ but Alabama and Mississippi State are the ones to beat right now in the West. Auburn is not going to be on top but will give all three of those teams I just mentioned a run for the place at the table in Atlanta next fall. Arkansas is probably not going to make it and Florida is going to be a solid 9-10 win team next season. The problem they (Florida) are going to have is adjusting to Charlie Weiss' offensive scheme.

On another note....look for a dark horse non-SEC team to make a big run and probably get in the title game.

My favorite team from way back when I was in middle school watching Danny McManus at Florida State.

The hype that SEC is in don't last forever.  just saying.

Wonder what Mich was going to offer him?

Probably not nearly enough to cover what it would have taken to get Miles to bring his offensive and defensive coordinators with him to Michigan. Plus when he didn't get the job ahead of Rodriguez in 2007 I would imagine that Miles cost to Michigan went up substantially in Miles head.

Either way Miles isn't going back up north and LSU keeps the "mad hatter".

Yea, i really do not see Miles doing good at Mich or in the Big 10.  He is better off at LSU where he has chemistry with the players.

I never said it was going to last forever, it is going to last for a while, though. Even if the National Championship isn't won every year by the SEC, there will definitely be SEC teams in the running.

Edit

I started to post a tongue in cheek joke comment here but figured it would get blow WAY out of proportion.

so

Here's to the ugliest mascot in college football.  I've hung with them for many years and a #2 ranking sits just fine with me.

Although I have to admit Oregon won the hot cheerleader contest in the bowls this year ;)

well, i know Garcia, and if he wasn't such a damn partier, we would prolly be in Auburn's situation (remember, when we first played them, they were ranked lower than us)

ah well, sometimes you gotta give a little :lol
