Folks at a town we were attacking put up their white flag.  Sent somma my boys in and they got shot at by the ack.

This is a war crime.  Should this low act be repeated in the future, I will authorize reprisals.
Perhaps a few lamb burgers will wake the townspeople up.  All AA down and then a white flag seems the hnonorable approach.  But who expects honor from proponents of Bishism and Rookery?

We do strafe the AA.  It just seems odd that a town "surrenders" but the AA will still shoot at you.  That isn't a surrender.  The white flag shouldn't go up until x% of town is down AND the ack is dead.

Better yet, let's have a base where we can hold war crimes trials and hang some criminals.

I can appreciate what you're saying, but maybe look at it like this:

After all of the schools, hospitals and churches have been bombed, the locals have had enough and decide to surrender.

As with all conflicts, there are always some "die-hards" that will fight to the last man. These type have to be rooted out and dealt with in a more hazardous manner.

You may wish to retract that wish for a war crimes ability. I think they'd use a lot of rope on guys like us.

The white flag isn't necessarily a surrender. It just indicates that enough town buildings are down to allow a capture.

Maybe we need a yellow flag. LOL

I tend to target the orphanages and the Zima factories.

How about changing the white flag to some sort of SOS flag or flare?  That way the spirit of the white flag is not dishonored.
When you surrender you shouldn't shoot.
It is not nice.
Someone could get hurt.

we in the knights normally send in a goon to make sure ack is down and it is safe for fighters to fly over the town.  sheesh, we gotta think of everything dont we.
