Dumb Question - Skins

I have downloaded some skins I'd like to use in AvA.  The 109F is very dark and sticks out against the light desert floor.  I'd like a lighter skin, but how do I select them?  I have copied them over to my \Aces High\Skins directory, but I can't seem them. 

In the drop down menu there are some skins listed, but I can't select them (probably becuase they are not downloaded)

Hints? Suggestions?

If the skin is listed in "red" on the clipboard, in the hangar, it means it is not installed on your computer.

Thanks - all worked as it should this time.  Do you have to completely exit the game?

One more question - do they work OFFLINE?  I can select them, but nothing changes.

If you've got them dl'd you should be able to fly them offline.

Oddly, you can only use a skin offline if you downloaded the skin via the in-game background download. If you do it manually, it does not work.
