i was just re-reading the post gunner_caf posted in the "1-ping engine thread".

reading the other parts - the parts about the bf-109 i was pretty amazed.

if that article is accurate then the htc model of the 109 is pretty uncanny. it isn't one-for-one of course, but i noticed a lot of the characteristics they mention in that article nicely matching the 109s in aces high.

especially the dive problems and the tendency to loose e if you loop at less than 280.

say what you want about the n1k - the 109 is at least well done imo. i imagine some of the other planes are as well like the mustang... but i haven't read enough about their characteristics to say either way.
