Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.

When the game is over, the Kings and Pawns all go into the same box.

"Five Raider crew members, including two co-pilots, survive him, but Bill was the last living pilot."

The opportunity to participate with surviving raiders in their 69th anniversary reunion will be during
April 14-17, 2011 in Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska.

I'm sure your fellow Doolittle Raiders will toast to you as they always do to fallen fellow raiders at every reunion.

Soon there will be no more. Cherish those who served and let them know you appreciate their sacrifices. There are fewer and fewer WW2 vets and Korean vets every day now.

Thanks to all of them.  Fair skies and tail winds forever. :salute
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."
