mic problems

ok got an issue with my mic i just had to restore my whole comp and now my mics dont work have tried with 2 and it messes up even out of game but in game when i hit t to talk nothing comes out and everything sounds like its underwater any suggestions?

Have you tried going into your playback devices and changing to audio settings to 16 bit cd quality?

You have to make sure the microphone is enabled as the default recording device in the Windows Sound Control Recording panel.  Right-click on the speaker ICON in the system tray to get to that menu.
