If you are looking for a squad...
« on: January 20, 2001, 07:34:00 PM »
If you are new to Aces High and looking for a home with some easy going fellows give the 332nd Flying Mongrels a look. Our squad is well over 3 years old and as stable as they come. We fly Friday nights for some squad training and in the Saturday Snapshots.  Our members are all over the U.S. and some in Europe. We recruit by personalty only. We don't care if you can't hit the ground when you bomb, or the sky when you shoot. But if you can laugh at yourself, have a good time, and make some friends this might be the squad for you.

If our squad time does not suit your needs then there are several squads I can recommend.

FYI the Mongrels never recuit by skill.
We have a history of takeing on pilots who are very new to computers & flight sims.

All that is needed is a desire to try, and the right attitude.

I would join. I'm still downloading the game, and don't even have an account yet! But I don't have ICQ, and would rather start my own newbie squad (If my time isn't full of my other online game duties...) If you cound give me some tips on how to run one I'd be gratefull. I'm from UK, and havn't a clue what US-UK time zone difference is, so if someone could tell me I'd be obliged. Thanks.

Hey firestorm,

We used to use ICQ when we flew warbirds- we met in icq before we went into the arena.  We don't use ICQ much anymore  .

As far as newbies, our newest member had flown aces high for 2 days before he applied   .  Can't get much newer than that.  We currently have our squad time on Saturdays at 3:00 PM, EST.  That is 10:00 PM for you (I think).  We've another member from the UK, (he's a student too)

As far as tips on starting your own squad, hmmm,    I dunno, i guess I'd fly for a while, get to know some of the people in aces high, before I started a squad.

And anyway you guys exclusivley fly the P38??

There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Not at all. The 38 is my favorite ride, but we fly all aircraft. Fighters and buffs.
