You can always use the squad (red) channel. Of course you would all have to be in the same squad.
The only other option I know of is to search the channels when your squad normally flies and see what is available.

Just use a chat software like ventrillio or teamspeak.

There's a "mission" channel, just like a "squad" channel.  Other than that, as others have said, pick a random number and see if there's anyone on.

Yes, and ask every one to down load and install it while they are trying to join your mission.  Then give them server names and settins via the text buffer that scrolls like creazy.  Match easier than picking a random channel in the game lol.

I believe your mission will have a higher fail rate if you chose vox over 200. :)

Wolvrine  :salute the 201 to 299 range can be heard across countries, so I wouldn't use this for a mission channel.

As for picking a channel, at random, I would choose a number that everyone can remember, like 178 for the 78th FG.  If you find someone else on that channel, then ask if that channel is being used by their squad.  If it is then, I would go down the list keeping the 8 alive, 168, 158, 148, 138, etc.  That way you have a range of 10 numbers to try that at least 'rhyme' with a number you have chosen.

Because the vox channels are not always occupied you may find that after a week or so, you have duplicated another squad vox channel.  It happens, and sometimes works out to be a good thing and might make some new friends, or just decide to move along.
