It may be different in your eyes, but there is only one definition for combat.  Avoiding it, does not make a combat simulator any better.

If he killed them it was combat period.

Who said it has to be fair?

Who said it has to last a minimum amount of time?

Who said you have to engage in it without thinking?

Who said you have to keep going untill you die, you are actually allowed to land kills here?

Who said you can't play this like a sim?

BTW Yeager, I shot down "yeager" monday, now I know why there was no return salute, wasn't you.  And I was all giddy and stuff too  :x

amd the fact it calls itself a game  :noid

"In the air, on land, and at sea, the battle rages 24 hours a day with participants from around the world.  Take our free two week trial and find out why Aces High is the online game for you."

Don't quote me and leave 99 percent of the info out  :rofl  here sense you skipped all the rest, i mean it sure says combat simulation everywhere  :D

Aces High takes the art and science of vintage WW1 and WW2 air combat and sets it in a high intensity online multiplayer environment.  Hundreds of players simultaneously battle it out against each other in massive aerial dogfights and bomber raids.

High fidelity flight simulation is the heart of Aces High but it doesn't end there.  A war rages on the ground and at sea.  Engage enemy armor in tank combat.  Protect your fleet as a gunner or make a torpedo run in a PT boat.  Lead an assault in an amphibious vehicle.  With over 100 warbirds, vehicles, and boats available, you have access to a vast virtual arsenal.

Take part in special events such as historical scenarios where famous battles are recreated and reimagined or try your hand at air racing at tree top level against skilled competitors,"In the air, on land, and at sea, the battle rages 24 hours a day with participants from around the world.  Take our free two week trial and find out why Aces High is the online game for you."

check the midwar stats under SLIMpkns.  Been pretty active the better half of last year to now.

I'm not a great ACM stick per'se.  Lots of guys can hand my donut to me in MW in a knifefight, but I have developed a fairly good set of strategies that let me prevail a healthy percentage of my sorties.....usually.....for the most part, generally speaking.

I wouldn't mind doing some DA work with a decent stick.  It's been a while.

"you"have developed..lol you are flying like it is real life, nothing"you"have developed. Its a tried and true way of staying alive, speed =life and if we really died I could see why its so important to fly like that..but seriously it takes all kinds so have fun if you are thats all that matters..just dont think like so many that because your "score/rank"is better then someone elses that you are a better stick.I LOVE it when someone says to me "look at your rank you suck"lol, see how long they survive in a 1vs1 at equel situation, thats the thing flying like you do,youll never truly get to understand ACM or put it into practice, untill you get in there and "let it all hang out"so to speak, workin that plane till you know it inside and out. Know exactly what that plane will do in ALL sitiuations, every single plane I fly I know exactly what it will do,and what I can make it do,only way thats possable is I have always fought period, not "fight" when I have all the cards. whatever tough fly how u want. Your $15.

No, its really very simple and was a real breakthrough in my development when I realized that no matter how many times I upped, flew around doing all sorts of neat fighter combat stuff and shot down 4-5 guys, I almost always died eventually.  Just a matter of time before the recycling of everyone who dies eventually gets back up with enough energy, and I everntually lose enough energy and get whacked.  God it was a blast for years, furballing like that, learning the spits, the FM2s, all the neat little turn and burn rides but it just got boring.  In order to stay interested I got into a 51 squad and flew with a great bunch of guys for a few years.  Learned the planes strengths and its weaknesses and managed alright in it for the most part.  Somewhere in there I realized, that for me at least, landing the damned sortie actually had some value.  A benifit of the smaller MW arena is that there are enough people in there to make the fights interesting but also provide enough chance to get back to the field and land the kills I sometimes managed to accumulate.

Thats where Im at, and have been for the last few years.

Interestingly Ive recently become interested in the Brewster.  Thanks to a good collection of sound files its actually motivating to fly the little BrewHAHA.  Of course, I can go up in it, T&B three spits into flames, knock the wing off a F4U.....kill a overzealous 51 and land it and all I typically get on open channel is what an overmodeled pig the brewster is.  Oh well, this is where I make the point that what is most important is that I enjoy what I am doing.

It has to be on the weekends, I travel for work.  Currently in Cincinatti with a laptop.  Even on low settings doesn't hold 15 frames.  Anytime Fri or Sat morning works well for me.  What do you say. Why EW anyway?
I'm here too this week, what a chithole!
