The most influential person in your life?
« on: January 26, 2011, 03:33:08 PM »
So I was a bit bored and dont believe anyone has posted on this before.  But who is your most Influential person you have known in your life?

Personally for me it is my grandfather (Nonno in Italian).  My grandfather and his family came to American in 1946 and they were VERY unwealthy in Italy, living in a very small farmhouse with about 100 acres of land passed down by my grandfathers family.  He had almost no education, no college, and worked his butt off his entire life, for he only came to this country with one dollar in his pocket and ended up making millions.

Whos the most influential person in your life?

My Dad.  He passed away 20 years ago and there hasn't been a day I haven't missed him.

:aok Amen brother

I miss my father every second of the day. There isn't a breath that enters my body without him on my mind. I can only wish to be half the man my father was.

My Mother. She raised my brother and I for several years alone. She passed away October 29th 2003. There is not a day goes by that I do not think of her.

...... I miss her as much today as I did right after her passing. I still have trouble speaking about her to family and friends without getting choked up.

My son.

Before he came along I was into a lot of stuff I shouldn't have been in to.  When he came along I decided he needed a dad and not some absentee jerkwad.  Cleaned most of my bad habits up and never looked back.

My mum, she was the driving force behind everything I did, if she didnt like it, it went away or stopped, if she did like it I kept doing it or improved it to a high degree.

She has been gone 4 months or so and it feels like 4 years. I am on holidays, and its still a chill in the spine this house being empty besides me and the Parrot (pet).

My Parents, all these years later I understand why they raised us the way they did.
