wii freezes constantly
« on: January 28, 2011, 12:51:25 AM »
I've had it for a month and it's messin up already. The game is near brand new condition so I don't think it is the CD. When it freezes not even the power button works so I have to unplug the thing, at least the power and reset worked on the nintendo entertainment system when it froze. yikes

Anybody know how to resolve this?

Nintendo u screwed me again! :bhead

Make sure Air is getting into the machine, inspect the fans to make sure there is no dust or obstructions. Avoid placing it on top of other hot or warm electronics.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

This was the biggest problem when I had a Wii. Especially after playing PS3 which was right next to it.

Are you talking about the PS3 having overheating or the Wii?

No one cares.

Anywho. Just move the Wii to a more open spot where heat will not be trapped in as easily. Might also help your cause to clear the dust out.

thanks for the suggestions people, I thought it was in a fairly well ventilated area and didn't really feel all that warm when it froze but moved it to it's own personal dedicated wii area where nothing is around it now. Somebody had suggested sticking a vacuum in the slit to suck the wii clean, but I wasn't sure about it.

Anyways hopefully it doesn't freeze any more :pray
