Actually his is a legite wish, Ty. To add the 20mm gun platform, HTC would need to release the JU87 D4. The D4 were produced from D3, but there is the addition of a flame arrestor, 2-20mm MG 151/20 and the rear gunner's ammo was increased to 2,000 rnds.

The OTHER guy's wish (for 20mm's) is legit.

this thread? no.

he said on another thread that dogfighting in a stuka was a stupid thing to do and for noob pilots,

and now he's asking for the "no bomb" option so he can go dogfight in a stuka?

he's ether trolling, or being a hypocrite....or both.

Where?

Here?
turning radius doesnt mean its a nice dogfighter, example, IMVHO the 190A-5 is a great dogfighter (although my lack of succes in it is due to my lack of skill) and it turns like a dumptruck, but it can climb good, and also pull a quick reversal, all the stuka can really do is flat turn

Or Here ?  (since they are the only posts in the thread made by him)

No doubt that a new stuka would draw a following of pilots, I like to fly it and try and sucker people into turning, the Ju-88 is fun to fight with aswell, I have only shot down two people in it but they were fun fights

and P.S, I would refer to the Ju 88 as a "shallow deccent bomber" as opposed to a dive bomber, as it was detrmined that the airframe could not take the stress, so it was recomended that they didnt exceed a 45 degree deccent  :)

The OTHER guy's wish would need to be for the addition of the D4 version, not adding 2 MG 151/20 to the D3 model. Face it... :ahand  :salute

.... i really dont know where your argument is coming from  :headscratch:

no one here is debating the adddition of the D model.

i simply said mirage was trolling by asking for the no-bomb option on the stuka.

from the other forum where someone was asking 20mm cannons on the stuka. (which i like that idea).

so...what are you arguing about?  :headscratch:  :huh

Did Ju87s ever sortie as fighters?  Both the D3A and SBD were used as fighter cover at times due to a lack of A6Ms or F4Fs.

lol may I ask why you think I am trolling when I ask for the ability to launch a plane even though the ords are down? I just think it would be fun to fly for a tour

ok I understand now, you cant launch a stuka when ords are down, even if you dont want to take bombs.

thank you vonmessa and fugitive for pointing that out to me, I must have missed that when I read the OP.

As I insinuated in my prior post, if it didn't sortie in an air superiority role during WWII then it shouldn't have the option to sortie without bombs in AH.  Both the SBD and D3A performed CAP missions at times due to inadequate supplies of F4Fs or A6Ms respectively.
