All you Bass Fisherman....How's this...
« on: January 28, 2011, 04:28:33 PM »
I fish this lake some....It's in a drawdown to allow home owners to fix docks and kill some unwanted vegetation. There was an 11+ pounder caught Wednesday....

Then this one caught yesterday...

C'mon, now, I expect your bass down in Texas to reach greater size than our bluegill up here!  :neener:

that's not fair, no matter how big of a worm weight I put on, it still won't go through the ice right now :lol  Incredible fish though :aok  Around St. Louis I'm excited at anything over 6lbs, an 8-10 only happens to me about every 3-5 years. I had one go a little over 8 last year so it may be a while, well it is in a small farm pond so as long as nobody takes her out, I'll have a chance everytime I'm there.  Some jerk took my other 8+ fish out of another farm pond I fish, and put it on a wall  :bhead.  Let em go, take pics, so you or someone else can enjoy that fish again.

She'll be back in the lake as soon as TPWD and the Fisheries get done doing whatever it is they do. They have a program here in Texas called sharlunker...if ya catch a fish over 13...they'll come get it....and take it back to the fisheries for tests then return it to where ever the person caught would like. Texas has some great fisheris here and almost everyone I know that bass fishes practices catch and release.
