Real men don't cook bacon just for the bacon.   Think of all the bacon fat/grease deprived recipies you'll be making during the time it takes you to eat that whole box of instant bacon!?

I don't cook jack schiznit normally, and don't save the grease if I did. I have an old soup can by the sink, fill it with the George Foreman grill drippings, and fat from making hamburger helper... once full I toss it, then put a new can in it's place.

Us single guys in apartments don't bother with "gourmet" cooking lol

oh and the box is 1/2 gone, bought 3 hours ago. I'll finish it tomorrow for a home from work snack  :rock

Nothing says single-guy gourmet-dinner like a 5-pound serving of biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs for dinner.  :aok  There's a reason why my girlfriends and exs have insisted on doing the cooking, and it ain't because I don't know how to cook or clean dishes.  :devil

You silly goose! You cook bacon in a real way so that you can use the saturated fats which seep out of the carcass for use in later food. Cornbread, beans, greens.... I'm a southerner.  :cry

don't need to microwave it if you are cool eating it cold. just like left over bacon in the fridge.

Where is this mystical fridge with left-over bacon in it of which you speak?  My fridge never has left-over bacon in it because the bacon-trolls eat what is left on the plate when I turn my back, thus i can never get any into my fridge to have left-overs!  :cry

I like Cracker Barrel!  I live up northeast USA.  I grew up south Florida in the 1950's.  Yeah, what you said!  My best Navy duty station was in Mississippi and mostly civilian cooks.
