Nope.  The BBS server is at our Grapevine office.  We suffered a power outage this morning and it took a bit to get the gas generator up and running.
Just how many 7-11 burritos did it take to get Pyro primed?
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Honda 2000 or something bigger?

I've been eyeing those *Honda 2000's but my gosh, at nearly $1000 brand new, I am kinda keeping my eyes open for a used one on Craigslist. (*For dry camping with the RV....we already have a Generac 7000 watt built in for the house)

Rolling blackouts across Texas.

Apparently we don't have the capacity to power everyone's heaters.  A/C manages to stay on during the summer just fine though.

wrongway

It's the distribution deals worked out, someone over or under estimated for this year.  In the summer, the north half of the country barely uses A/C while the south depends on it.  During winter though, the north depends on heating while the south rarely needs it.  At any time and point when severe weather is effecting both the north half and the south half of this country we're stretching the power thin.  I'm thinking California is making a killing on electricity exports this week.

They are pricey, but with some regular TLC they last forever.... _forever_.  Same with Honda pumps.  And if something does break on them, chances are you got the tool already to fix it, just gotta order the replacement part.  Only thing I've had to replace in the last ten years on our little Honda geny was the fuel shut-off valve (and the downstream fuel filter for good measure), one of the O-ring seals in it went the way of the dodo (thus my reconing for a new filter as I'm sure most of the disintegrated O-ring was floating around in it), took less than a week for the one i ordered online to show up and ten minutes to replace and fire it up.

Been rock solid so far.

Hmmm....  guessing then it's a Xantrex?  Only manufacturer of Inverters that I can say I love.  What happened, loose it's ground, someone forget to flip the generator switch to "auto" (what I always do since I prefer to run the geny "manualy" and as needed), or did Pyro forget to refil the tank after the convention guys got done scrounging around for get-home gas to cyphon out of the parking lot?   :D

We have to store the generator in the office and pull it outside to use it.  I was the lucky one who got in first.  Drug it outside, ran the cables and started it up.

Getting a permanent setup outside is cost prohibitive due to all the permits and code requirements.
