How about a "living" ENY system that works with the existing one? Let me splain, ENY manages the quantity of planes based on their "quality" thru perk based incentive. How about ENY changing with the frequency of which a plane is used by an individual player. So if a player only flies a Dpony the ENY would continue to lower the more he flies it even to the point of costing perks! The incentive being to ecourage flying different rides or at least different models.

My argument for this being, a player who flies the same ride ALWAYS is a far more formidable opponent than a noob flying a Tempest or Jet!

This idea is for tour only and ENY would reset at the beginning of each tour.

Just a thought!

So my Hurri-Mk1 will start costing me perkies? At least I'd be spending them on something...

All in all, I can't see how or why this would be a good thing. Some people are here specifically because they love a certain plane and don't care to fly anything else. What you're asking is yet another way to force someone to do something they don't want to do.

Sure! My thought is you in a hurry1 is like me in a JUG from experience and familiarity alone we equal or best any noob in a tempest or c-hog or spit16. I would argue the noob in the tempest has better chance of killing me if I'm in a spit16 or tempest

so for example I have a more significant impact on the game in a JUG than I would in a tempest untill my experience in the tempest was increased!

to encourage variety

the pony/190 show is getting boring, some planes encourage a certain style. Change the plane change the style

Also we have a lot of people who are not noobs and who don't fly 262s, you realize how many 262s there will be when you unperk it?

Just because you are potentially limiting what people enjoy flying. Penalizing them, or yourself, for proficency.

Wasn't there a flight sim, Warbirds maybe, where you scored better (yeah, I know, score) for shooting down someone with a big kill streak?

I don't endorse that either.

i am not even in the middle range when it comes to skill and yet i have more perks than i can use. perk whatever you want, I'll still fly if i like it.

What if ENY was a pool of points instead of a fixed restriction? You add up the assigned value of all the planes in the air and once the total reaches the points in the pool your country is hit with the same ENY restriction as the middle, or highest numbered country. Anything beyond this would get a temporary perk value. This way you still have the benefit of being able to fly better planes then the powerful countries, just at a cost.

For example; Your country is outnumbered 2 to 1. As a result, you have a pool of 300 points, and a bunch of people up some uber planes. The system calculates that there are now 300 points worth of planes in the air. Everyone else is now forced to fly under the same ENY restrictions of the high number country or pay perk points. These temporary perk values would slide based on the ENY value. A Spit I might only cost you a point, where a Dora would cost you 20.

These numbers are just an example. The specifics could be worked out by HTC. I think the idea is sound though.

I think that would be a hinderance for ppl trying to learn a specific plane.
I love the 205 and the fact that I can fly it in just about any ENY situation. Just because I like to take it up alot now means its ENY value is 5 even though I decide to join the low #s country. Doesnt make sense AND it doesnt really mean I am better at it just by taking it up alot...could just mean I'm dying more in it, so why add salt to the wound by further penalizing the player?

Imagine the frustration when they want to up a sortie and find out they cant or they have to use perks just because some general decides to put up a CV attack mission. Not that they are worried about a few perks, but still.

I think that some careful thought could find a threshold that is sufficiently high as to to allow those of us who fly mid ENY planes to get up and still prevent the hoards of low ENY or perked rides.

But, also notice, that I mentioned that after your "bonus" ENY pool is used up, your revert to a standard floating ENY point system. That should allow most mid level planes to fly, unperked, in all but the most extreme situations. And even in those extreme situations, your bonus pool would be so large that it still wouldn't matter much.

There is nothing wrong with out current ENY/perk system. Why don't you people want experienced pilots flying the planes that they know well?
