Isn't this what ENY does anyway?

No, ENY never changers, all planes have a set ENY. The few planes that are perked are perked because they are better than most not because someone knows how to fly them well.

For the record, i usually fly planes that are unaffected by ENY so it's not something that I'm strongly in favor of.  I'm just trying to be constructive by offering a possible solution to a "problem" that was presented.

I haven't advocated that the actual ENY value for a plane change, just the system that regulates when you can fly a plane of a certain value. Under my idea, the values could remain the same, just the ability to use it for free would change.  I'm sure that most of us, especially the top tier pileits have more perks then they could spend in a lifetime.

I do not see a "problem", please explain. There is nothing wrong with our current ENY/perk system.

I completely disfavor anything that makes your plane choices for you due to increasing perk costs, especially on planes that are un-perked to begin with.  -1

ENY is designed to make pilots choose between outnumbering their opponents, or switching teams to fly what they want to fly.

This completely changes what ENY does, which is why almost all of these requests to make ENY changes are not looked in to. They change the fundamental purpose of ENY... to attempt somewhat of a firepower balance in the arena.

Like Knite says, you still have a choice.  You can switch sides if you really need to fly a SpitXVI or LA7.

The OP's idea forces you to fly or not fly certain aircraft.  You have no choice nor alternative.
