We have to stop the next global Ice age! http://www.helium.com/items/2083868-magnetic-polar-shifts-causing-massive-global-superstorms

Seriously, all signs point to THIS and not global warming bs.

omg! so we need to rip up all of our current climate models and start again from scratch!

... unless we've already known about geomagnetic reversal and been studying it for 100yrs, and already included it as one of the huge number of variables in said models.

Not only the reversal but stopping of rotation wobble and other signs listed in the article, every sign for the next ice age is present.

indeed, anyone with even a passing interest in climate change knows an ice age is imminent, preceeded by rising temperatures. thats one thing we can all agree on.

I live in Texas, I'm safe from the ice age. Haven't you ever seen The Day After Tomorrow?

I'm gonna say that most of the U.S. isn't worried about global warming but would probably welcome the warm temp!!! I know i'm ready for it to warm up..

It's been way to cold here in Texas for me lol

I can grow food when it's warm, and "experts" say there will be more moisture in the air if it warms up, which is also good for growing food.

Can't grow anything when it's cold.

I disagree, the whackos portrayed there are to us what Al-Qu'aeda is to Islam, the Nazis are to the GOP, and the Communists are to the Liberals.  It's the little changes that can add up quickly- using energy efficient lightbulbs, investing in better insulation, and walking around town (fewer changing of lightbulbs, a nicer house, and buns of steel are only some of the benefits).

You say that because you're a flightless bird that lives in the snow.  The rest of us need warmth to live.  We can all live with less pollution, but plants grow better with high temps, high humidity, and high CO2 levels.  I'll take a little warmth over another ice age anyday.

CO2 is NOT a pollutant nor a toxin.  It's required for both plants and animals to live.

not entirely true. more moisture means more storns and rain. more rain means crops can/will be washed out.

you make that sound like an either/or choice - it isnt. regardless of what we do, it will get warmer, and then we will enter the next ice age.

the thing that we might be able to change is how much quicker the temps rise, ie. how much sooner the next ice age arrives.
