ok semp my friend are you gonna take the time to dial in the range of the targer knowing its most likely moving at 300 400 MPH and the odds of you getting it right the first time are slim to none at best. i prefer the proxy fuse flak cannons better becuase you will atleast hit the damn thing.

I was replying to your attitude in posting the reply.   your reply to me would've been a more appropriate reply to the thread.

You fail at failing, yes it's a double negative
not a double negative :aok

Yes im against this idea ok, i mean people rarely if ever go after CVs like they did in world war 2 in this game, it most of the time bombed by Buffs. and those are slow and easy to hit with the 40mms.
He's not wanting this for the main arenas dude... reread his post because for FSO and Scenarios, enemies actually try to be historic in their attacks
40mm takes skill not gonna lie
get a few hours on the 40mil and youll be swatting flies at 5k away :aok i prefer its challenge over the 5" dweebery
yeah i have the skills to use that, im not gonna lie and say i have skills with the 5inch guns, i dont and i know i dont so i dont bother with it.
self gratification is a person's anti-friend device :aok
MANaWAR all he does is sit in a 5inch it's too easy you just gotta throw a couple rounds out there and the shot does it's own thing, I like this idea it will actually take some skill to kill with them
agreed :aok
I am in need of a new epic quote

I like the idea of the throttle defining the explosion delay, maybe the flaps key can be used to change the interval your set in,
i.e. interval 1 = 0->30s
interval 2 = 31s->2Mins
interval 3 = 2Mins-> 7mins

when were the VT fuses instituted? i think it was time-delay only until late 1942 atleast...

According to this ...

http://www.history.navy.mil/faqs/faq96-1.htm

VT fuses were first released in 1944.

ok, only off by two years :lol

that's the main reason i want this to be added, because usually in EW PTO events, the only manable CV gun is the 20mm, which is useless most of the time because you can't hit anyting from far away enough to prevent ords release. can't use the current 5-inchers in there because it would just be too easy, hitting sbds, tbms, vals and b5ns
