I am sorry oakranger but no, not funny at all.

What I see is 2 war weary soldiers, one comforted as he sleeps by his mate, staying awake and vigilant untill it is either his turn for a bit of a nap or time for them to both return to battle, or the march to the next battle.  They have no tent, no pillow, just another mates shoulder for comfort as he hopefully dreams of his home, his wife, his kids, his country restored to peace.
