#s guys
« on: February 10, 2011, 11:01:46 PM »
These guys are finally getting real names.
What happend to the good ol times  of seeing 4456025 spamming country channel if anyone needed a gunner or to join his mission?

I hardly see #s guys anymore, anyone know why?

Keep in mind that originally when someone saw this game commercial and they created an account they had to make up a name.

This was before Hitech deleted all the accounts and opened up a lot more names. It use to be frustrating everytime you put in a name and it's taken, after 5 or maybe ten trys folks would just punch in random numbers just so they could play the game and figured they would get a call sign later.

There were more #s guys, but I can track down only those that had been killed (or even got a kill themselves)

AHHHH good ol 999000.
I'll never forget my first encounter with him. I was slowly creeping up to his 17s low 6 when a few freindlies were like "Be careful..its 999000!!"

I thought it was guys picking on me and being sarcastic while saying  "pfft..I'll tear these 17s apart".

Needless to say, it didnt work out well for me  :ahand

When I started about three years ago, I accidentally entered in my password (a string of numbers) into the Game ID box during registration. When I logged in for the first time and saw my handle as ###### I quickly changed it to what it is today. Maybe other guys made this same mistake and just decided to roll with it.

Do you have to chose a name? If you leave it blank perhaps it will just give you a random number?

I was once a numbers guy...I remember one person who was very nice and let me into the Hellcat FG...<S> to whoever you are!  :aok
Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.
