I have no clue other than dipersion grid samples how close to reality the MK108 - 3 cm Minengeschoss Leuchtspur mit Zerleger (day tracer) round is modeled in Aces High. Here are the results of german testing on the Parabolic Dispersion cone for the MK108 round. Remember it's coming out of a 23 inch barrel 1:16 rifling, 500M/sec.
Testing offline using a 80Mil waffel line grid sampling gunsight.
The dispersion grid for the MK108 at 100yds is 50cmX25cm. (.5mX.35m)
The MK101-103 had 47 inch barrels and the NS-37 had a 90 inch barrel. You can expect with a 1:16 rifling much tighter patterns at 100yds with these. High speed 900-1100m/s 3cm ammo had dispersion patters of about .2m at 100meters and 2.5m at 400meters. The draw back for the high initial velocity was a high recoil which can damage airframe and/or impact aim after a few rounds.
German results.
These values are the radius of a dispersion spiral in meters by distance in meters. 425m(464yd) is the max effective distance of the MK108 due to dispersion and trajectory drop, 11-12ft at 400meters(437yd). This dispersion spiral will account for a 190 guncam vid I watched where at 300m only a single 3cm hit the right wing tip of a B24. 500m/sec Minengeschoss Dispersion grid(x, y) at 100m(7 feet) and 400m is 9.2m(30 feet).

Over the years some players have mentioned shooting a fighter from dead 6 is usless with a single MK108. B29 is an ideal target for the single MK108. Quad MK108 should miss nothing at 100 yards due to the advantages of 4Xdispersion.
