Midway
« on: February 16, 2011, 11:00:16 AM »
Perhaps it has already been done, but I was thinking a reenactment of Midway might be fun. Opposing Task forces with multiple carriers and other ships would be pretty awesome.

It is a popular set up and has been done quite frequently.

A lot of the old maps were taken down from the server to be remade/repaired and I believe Midway was one of them.

personally, if we're going to run another pto setup i'd rather see a setup where we could have 38s, 51s, corsairs and b-17s against a6m5, ki-84 and betty's...say mid-late 1943 early 1944

while i'd like to have 38's......i'm working on a battle of the coral sea. it would be cool to run that, followed by a midway set up/........

midway1 will be on your server soon, but since I can't say exactly when, it must be in two weeks.
Easy in-game again.

wasn't here an episode on Black Sheep Squadron where Pappy's squad was up against a squad of USAAF P-38's? I think it was loosely based on the Yamamoto kill.

mid 43. the G started to replace the p-39(p-400) at that point, and into 44.
