Favorite Firefox Addons
« on: February 16, 2011, 02:45:59 PM »
This was started in another thread but I thought I'd start it's own where we could share what our favorite addons to Firefox are.

Mine are "DownThemAll", this one lets you download everything on a webpage, one thing I've found this useful for has been if I've needed to reinstall AH I can just go to the skins page on here & download all the skins at once instead of having them download one at a time online.

Another that I just found is "SmoothWheel" which scrolls the webpage smoothly when scrolling the mouse wheel, so far I've really liked this one, it's real nice when you scroll with your mouse wheel and it's just a nice smooth scroll instead of a jumpy kinda scroll.

Also I like "KwiClick", this one lets you just highlight text and then 4 small icons appear above the text that let you either Google it, search it on Wikipedia, Mapquest  it, or search it on Twitter, the results pop up in a small screen in the bottom right corner of your browser.

Yeah I have "adblock plus" too, really nice going to sites and not having those ad's all over the sides of the page.

Yeah I just got it myself today and I love it, I don't understand why scrolling isn't supposed to be like this to begin with.

countryfox puts a little national flag in the corner of the address bar so you can tell where the server is located. Mostly just cool, but there are times where its useful ("Oh, Crap! that webpage is actually in Uzbekestan, not Redmond WA! RUNNNNN)

I just did a search for that addon and nothing came up.

Edit: Just found it, it's called Flagfox.

EDIT: Sorry, it's called FlagFox.

Thought of that as I drove home after work...but I see you figured it out already.

IEtab is nice for those pages that just won't run right in Firefox.

The extension lets Firefox open a IE browser window inside firefox, and remembers that page for future reference.
