Well, he might be close. There was a chart that showed around 7K players (If I remember right) and I don't see 7K forum members.

So it would be an EDUCATED guess.

In fact, there are 14,283 registered members now, so according to your data, 200% of those who play are registered for the forum.

Sorry, I'm sticking with uneducated.

Maybe I've spent too much time questioning the validity of studies, but I tend to be very hesitant when people start throwing around stats.  Your 7k number probably comes from some of Lusche's work, looking at the highest scores of people at the end of each tour.  Though I trust his numbers, that doesn't mean you can assume that the highest score equals total number of players.

I agree many of the very to mildly active players on the forum tend to forget they are probably in the minority though.

Just to clarify: Lusche never made a chart about total AH player numbers or subscribers even. This chart was named "LW Arena Activity Index", and showed the number of player having made at least one kill or suffered at least oen death in that arena turing a tour.
