i dont watch REDNECK err i mean NASCAR but this got my attention...

If you ever have a chance to go to a race in your area or nearby, take it, you will never regret it. 
One of the best things in life to experience and see. 
The fans are fantastic, what other sport event will have 190 THOUSAND screaming fans in one place...... Its a super bowl at every race.
Not only that but the cars are so fast, TV does not give them justice on the speed and skill to be a driver of one of these cars.

Not sure of your race but if you were saying Redneck in a racist form, I dont think too many would appreciate that.  Sort of like a white person using the "N" word you know.

Redneck is nothing like the N word.  No matter how you use it.  Although both are often used in terms of endearment, and both are digs aimed at lack of intelligence, I don't ever recall any lynchings of Rednecks.

But no matter what ethnicity the majority of participants or fans of any sport, don't for a moment think that free thinking individuals aren't just as likely to have motor oil running through their veins as have Gatorade pumping from their pores.

I agree with you, if you don't have an appreciation for something as hugely popular as NASCAR, you probably haven't experienced it close up.

As dark as my complexion may or may not be, if I were sitting trackside watching cars running 200 mph inches away from one another whipping past me faster than I could snap my head around, I would think more folks would be calling all of us rubber necks, trying to keep up with the action, and the beer concessions.

2002 Charlotte was my first live go see race, It was the return of #3  CarQuest 300 weekend,  its nothing compared to what you see on TV, so much better in person, i had the pleasure to go with Jerry and Pam Glavin some friends from my town, they knew how much i loved the sport and they travel to alot of nascar events ( 20+ races) , Pam knows alot of Nascar Personalities and i got to meet many drivers while i was there, Gordon, Harvick, the King, Busch bros, the most enjoyable person i meet was Tony Stewart he was very friendly and funny, followed by meeting Dale Jr in person and he signed my Commemorative Ticket with the #3 car on it that he drove that weekend it ranks up there with my 1998 Daytona 500 Dale Earnhardt Autographed Tire i bought from RCR

My very first Race was 1998 Daytona 500, I fell into the tickets by accident and I will never regret going. Awesome race and that was teh first time I have heard of teh crowd staying in their seat for an additional 1.5 hours after the race was done, usually they leave even before the checkered flag is even shown. With the MAN in front nobody wanted to miss seeing him gain his first 500 win. My personal experience there is one to remember. If you get a chance go to a race and you will be using all 5 of your senses to experience a thrill

sight--- watching them go 180mph plus
smell--- smelling the fumes of 43 high powered engines
touch--  feeling the roar of 43 800 hp engines go by at 180 (trust me you feel it in your chest)
hearing-- even with ear plugs and ear muffs I stil had a hearing problem after the race
taste-- being able to taste the fumes (sounds gross but you can)

There is only one thing that is better.... and we all know what that is.

This was my first race, I was 7 rows back from the fence and somewhere just to the right of the start finish line in this picture.  

While on USS Barry we pulled into Savannah Georgia for the St. Patty's day week long celebrations and they were offering free tickets for me and a couple others since we volunteered to be the designated van drivers to and from Darlington hauling sailors up to the race.  

The closest finish in Nascar history.
