"Are you kidding me?"
« on: February 20, 2011, 04:51:20 PM »
Twenty year old Trevor Baine starting in his second ever Sprint Cup race wins the
Daytona 500 in a car owned by the Woods brothers!

Woods brothers are one of the most respected and oldest teams in NASCAR, they
are also one of the least funded. The driver, Trevor Baine, does not even have a
full time ride in Cup or Nation Wide. The Woods brothers are only running a very
limited schedule as well.

Congrats to Trevor Baine and Woods Brothers Racing!

In the words of Trevor Baine, "Are you kidding me?"

Good to see fresh meat winning the game, I am so tired of hearing about JR this Jr that, Gordon this and that, they are has beens, and some were nothing more than riding the tails if you will.

I am actually happy for this young kid, he seems well spoken and it might bring some interest back into racing.

I watched all of the speed week coverage and really enjoyed this kid.  I have always loved the Wood Brothers and am very happy for Trevor!!!!

Sad day as my driver Jeff Burton blew up but those are the breaks.....

There were huge cheers from this house when Trevor won the race!!!!

Good, we don't need your kind, especially considering the reverse could be said for your
movie.

I don't feel the need to throw it in your face though.....

It looked like couples racing, two by two,

several wrecks were due to a train colliding into another train that had a run on them.

The first "Big one" took out 13 if I remember correctly. Funny thing about Trevor, he had no idea where the winner podium was, he got stopped by officials as he almost drove past it.
Quote over in car audio after winning the race, "Are you kidding me? seriously are you kidding me?" Upon needing to go to winners circle " I dont know where I am going..where do I go?"

That last comment got me laughing, and he deserved it, he worked hard at pushing people all day he had no idea what it was to be pushed, and cudos to Carl Edwards for pushing him the final 400 yards over the finish line.

Trevor and Regan Smith both did awesome job in yesterdays race...... Stewart/junebug (<-- E.Jr. ) combo shoved Kurt Busch into Regan taking him out of it, but he manged to come back and finish in the top ten even though he got punted and had to retsart at the back with just 2 laps to get back to the front.......

Trevor does have a full time ride in Nationwide..... he drives for Roush, and he is on loan to the Wood Brothers #21 Sprint Cup ride for something like 16 or 17 races this season...... ( maybe less ??? ) but he will be making his run for the "Rookie of the year" in sprintcup next year......

MWR really made a bad decision in letting Trevor go last year in the nationwide series....... Trevor came on even stronger once Roush picked him up as a driver...

i dont watch REDNECK err i mean NASCAR but this got my attention...

ROFL...... is funny people assuming such a thing...... NASCAR is like having a superbowl every weekend throughout most of the year....... it is nation wide loaded with fans from all races, creeds, ages You name it.... people come from over 53 different countrys in the world to just watch a race each year........

The nationwide series and the Camping world Truck series offers more action these days....... in my view...... but if Kyle is in the race, I am watching it, that young man is the most natural talented driver I have ever seen since the ol' Tim Richmond days / and early thru mid driving career days of Rusty W.
