The Ki 100 is just a Ki 61 with a radial engine.. which was installed because of availability and reliability, not because of performance.

But that did inadvertantly result in a significant weight saving and a considerable increase in power (we researched the details recently).

I would like to see it added at some point simply because it was a Japanese fighter and it did see action. Its not a "almost was" or a "super ultra rare" fighter. We need more IJN and IJAAF a/c period. That being said im aware of its sometimes hyped performance (it was a bit better than a Ki-61 in a few areas but not by a wide margin).

I agree its tiny numbers fielded make it a less logical early inclusion to the planeset, if indeed those are the criteria, however if the Ki-61 gets remodelled at any point it would be an easier way to slip in another Japanese fighter with less work than starting from scratch.

:aok

Ki-43 and Ki-45 should be added first though.

I just want a B-29 interceptor. Not sure how those two would fair in that role.

Would love to see the Ki-100 in the game.

The J2M3/5 and the Ki-44 as well.

Would be great to be able to have something to counter the 29 in the MA/Special events with any of the above planes.

The problem with the Ki-45 was that it couldn't intercept B-29s when they were doing high altitude (30,00ft+) day light bombing raids.  It was when the bombing raids dropped down to as low as 5,000ft did the Nick have better success.

+1 on the Ki-100
+1 on the J2M Raiden

Either one would be a nice addition.
