152 finally found a niche.

The 152 sorties are going to increase 4x the next month.

It really is one of the few planes in the game capable of attacking B29s at altitude.

On the allied side its the mighty spit 14 has the legs on the 152 to 25k if not the guns.

It will get up there allot quicker to but sadly it is still perked heavily imho  :frown:

If its rad is as susceptible as I remember, I'm not sure the 152 will really like this niche.  Not if the 29 is as fast as it seems to be, and has about twice as many guns as the B-17s do.

From memory of what a B-17 is like, and what it'd be like if it got this much extra speed and guns, you'd have to be very well practiced and disciplined to successfully take down B-29 formations.  Success = taking no critical damage. IE at the very least taking critical damage only after the formation is down.

So it's finally a target that's actually like what the 152 was meant for, but IMHO a sweet & sour deal.  One natural and positive solution I see is that this encourages better teamwork.  Two or three 152s should be enough for successfully dealing with B-29s.  That's a fair setup for the 152 - it'd still be a good challenge.

Spit14 doesnt have the legs to catch it.....and engage for very long like your going to need to if the B29 is as good as the video shows it as being.

Ive brought a few down at 15k with a p51.

The 14 should have 90mph over the 29 at 25k I think it can get to 20k in around 5 minutes and that is what an interceptor needs to be able to do.  I think you would need to take of in front of it though.
