To Live Forever...
« on: February 23, 2011, 05:56:15 PM »
Hello, I have come to ask a question-

If you were given the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to live forever, (but this would not apply to anyone else) would you do it?

Axioms:
Nobody would do anything about it
Nobody would care
You would not be immune to dying from external causes (murder, car accidents, lightning strikes)
You would return to the condition in which you were during the prime of your life, sans any damage from external sources (i.e. you drank like a sailor and destroyed your liver), and never age
Your memory would be infinite, along with any resulting wisdom

I would say yes a hundred times over. The only thing I legitimately fear is death. It's the only thing that has every stopped me in my tracks or made me feel sick in my gut.

Life is long enough as it is. Screw that.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Given that I am who I am, and that I would still think what I think - no.
Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?

Yes.  If for no other reason so I live to see the day people aren't so myopic to think indefinite lifespan is some kind of curse.
