My Dad
« on: February 25, 2011, 07:21:02 AM »
My dad just went to the hospital swollen up, and unable to breathe. He had just had a surgery on his neck 2 days ago and they think that something went wrong with the surgery.
He had a Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion on a disk.

Sounds like back or neck surgery on the disks between vertebrae.

Best wishes for your dad.   :pray

They did repair work on a blown / bulged disk(s) in the neck area and fused the vertebrae together to complete the job.

Monkey, thoughts and prayers OTW. Hang in there. :pray

You know penguin there are times for sarcastic comments and there are times to keep "quiet". This is one of the quiet times. Nothing was said or even indicated that the surgery was bad. That conclusion on your part is unwarranted and I'm sure unwanted by the OP.

Not trying to be sarcastic, or start a flamewar, but when are those "keep quiet" times?  :headscratch:

Hmm, just pretend your dad or a very close family member of yours is in the ER for a problem just as serious.  Your sitting in the waiting room and a kid you don't know walks up and says, "Your dad just got his arse handed to him by a doctor."  You have never seen this kid, and he is not one of your friends cracking jokes trying to cheer you up.  How would that honestly make you feel?
