Restore WEP upon rearm.

How about when you land on the rearm pad it resets the WEP cooldown.

If you cut the engine as you reach the pad it will cool down quite a bit, as a non-flame suggestion :)

And forget all this cut the engine on the runway crap.  Hit the dar at 20k, kill the fuel and glide the next 4 minutes.  After you get good you won't even have to restart them to get on the rearm pad.   :aok

The re-arm pad simulates a ground crew reloading the guns, mounting new ordnance, and refilling the fuel tanks.  While 30 seconds is obviously a bit fast for such things (I've vouched for upping the time to 1 minute or more), it is still in the realm of "can do".  I'd be willing to bet that the ground crew didn't have an SOP to cool down an engine, there really wasn't a need.

HiTech said somewhere that planes dont have unlimited wep. I think Tupac wanted to say to "recharge" the wep time, and be able to use all those 600 seconds on the pony again.

I always thought that too, but I think it's only limited by the engine temp?

Yesterday i was in a 190 f-8. That ride is slow, needs its wep, you know, so i used it. After about 20 mins of flying i noticed that when i cut off the wep, the engine wont cool down to the normal temperature (90 degrees) but stays at 110 degrees. Even when i turned my engine off, and cooled it down to 90 degrees, it leveled out at 110 degrees. I used a lil bit more wep and the basic temperature became 125 degrees. Question: if i use all of my wep, then rearm, will my wep (MW50 or anything) recharge?

WEP is actually timer based, it has nothing to do with temperature

Then what is the timer relevant to?  Im not going to pretend to be an expert, but it would seem to me that heat is the reason WEP is not without limits.

I dont really know the allied planes, but in the late war german rides there was the MW50 system (methanol water injection), and something simmilar in the jugs (water injection??), and once they ran outta water they logically couldnt use that system anymore. But in the earlyer rides i dont think there was a limit in using the full power, maybe only structural or owerheating.
For example there is the 109 g-6 and the g-14. Their engines are only different in the MW50 system, so they perform the same at military power, the only difference is in the WEP. I dont know why the g-6s wep is limited, when there isnt any special boosting system in the g-6, its wep is all about injecting more fuel so is only limited by overheating. Thoughts?  flame suit on
