You have also been playing fallout new vegas lately havent you? i have that game and i think its pretty darn good. but...i dont remember seeing any mininukes that helped the NCR over the Leigon at the hoover dam..."WIKI IS NOT RELIABLE SOURCE!" <--words from the greatest reasearch cat in the world...
[game spoilers].
if you take the ncr or mr house or wildcard quests, they ask you to get the boomers at nellis af base on your side.
after you gain the support of the boomers. they will tell you about "the lady in the lake"
which is a crashed b29 at the bottom of lake mead.
they will give you a rebreather and ask you to surface it for them.
you do this by attaching ballasts at the bottom of each wing. and it lifts the b29 up to the surface.
they then bring it back to nellis and restore it using parts from another museum b29 that was on base.
then during the battle for hoover dam, as long as your ether on the ncr,or mr houses side. or taken the wildcard quest, there is a part where the b29 (which they nicknamed pearl after there vaults leader) will come in low and carpet bomb the top of the dam with mini nukes to kill the legions choked up there. you gotta be careful tho cus they can accidently drop on you.
if your on mr.houses or the wildcard side, then it will still happen. but if your listening to the ncr radio they will claim that they are being aided by a "non ncr flying object" which is the b29.
also after you lift it, the radio announcer mr. new vegas, will comment on it. saying that there was a sighting of a large unidentified object spotted surfacing from laked mead. and he nicknamed it the "lake mead monster".
the mission is based off a real life b29 that was forced to make an emergency landing in lake mead back in 1949.
the bomber went like 50-something years staying hidden at the bottom of the lake till a diver team finally discovered it.
as far as i know, theres a legal battle going on wether to raise the bomber and restore it or leave it down there as a memorial.
