Film viewer sound

Recently watched films in viewer, but only sounds which played back are other plane(s) guns fire and hits on my plane.
Audio Driver version: 5.10.0.6215
DX version 9.0
HD Audio Controller
Codec: ALC885
Win.XP, SP3 32bit

And same here, using onboard sound (Realtek HD).

But when I did remove all custom sounds (removed sound-folder and re-started AH) and was using only default sounds, all planes sound was OK.
Of course your own plane gun sounds was missing, as it has been a long time...

So are the problem only with custom sounds?

I always hear the landing gear sound at engine start up and of course, again when the wheels lift.   :rolleyes:

Been watching films a lot. Same problem  here. It seems I will actually hear some aircraft by types but not others. Spitfires for example but no other aircraft. I havent paid too much attn to it. Knew it was a bug and figured we'd get a fix soon.

But I also have been experiencing a lot of freezing and slow playback it seems where I didnt before. Im not sure if this appeared before or after update.

And here I was thinking it was something with my sound card settings. Just glad to hear it ain't just me. I have wierdness with my sounds when using the film viewer. Some sounds play, some don't. They're fine in the game otherwise.

Well this must be a hit & miss thing regarding the sound not working in films. It may be dependent on each individuals sound settings in game possibly since I can hear all sounds except flaps moving up or down, and wind/stress sounds for my aircraft, and I can hear the opponents planes engines in my films I have recorded the past several weeks & patches

2 patches ago, I did have it where sound would drop out completely in game, but if I alt-tabbed out and came back in the sound immediately came back ( this happened about 4 times total ) but has not happened since.....

Yes Sir, I have not loaded any custom sound packs on this "Temp PC" I currently am using ...... I was down and out from Oct til Jan ....still waiting to get my Main PC back up and running......
