No animosity but now lets get down to business.
« on: February 28, 2011, 12:29:35 AM »
Now that the whining minions have been placated with the B-29 maybe we can get some planes added that will add to the experience and pleasure of the game.  Like maybe the He-111, Pe-2 and numerous other aircraft that will fill out our plane sets and contribute to the FSO's, Snap Shots, and Scenario's.  That is what I would love to see and I believe it would benefit the community far more than the B-29.  My opinion.  What is yours?

Add the planes which can properly fill out the actual planes used in battles - whatever they were.
Here we are, living on top of a molten ball of rock, spinning around at a 1,000mph, orbiting a nuclear fireball and whizzing through space at half-a-million miles per hour. Most of us believe in super-beings which for some reason need to be praised for setting this up. This, apparently, is normal.

I really wish to see at least one new fighter airframe in the next version. While especially the GV-portion of the game has gained ground and is a significant part of the game, it is the fighters why I'm here and is where the origins of this genre lie.

During the AHII period which has lasted about 6,5 years we've gotten four new fighter airframes: Ki-84, P-39, B239 and I-16.

Hopefully one totally new fighter fits to the schedule of the next version...and hopefully it's a Ki-43. ;)

stuka would fill the same roll as the hurri2D in the MA..
fighter/attack planes would be great if a more comprehensive logistics system was included.. more targets and such (in that case, beaufighter FTW)
right now, this game is focused primarily on dogfights, that is the pivot point from what i can see. i like that, but i know there are some that would enjoy other things more, there are the strategy guys.. i would be one if it played a bigger role.. if supply and it's effects were beefed up i think this game would change around that. the barge and trucks dont fill the logistics side of things (but this is an air combat simulation)
AH seems to be in the process of growing from an air combat simulation to a more well rounded war simulation (at least in structure), would help secure a larger customer base. warbirds never had a supply system that i can remember at least we have one modeled.

/ramble

what planes would work to balance out gameplay? are there any more roles in the MA that arent already filled by at least two or three aircraft? are we wanting planes more for scenarios/how important to business are the scenarios?

are you saying the b29 hasn't benefited aceshigh?

i garreuntee you the he-111 and pe-2 would become hanger queens far sooner than the b29 ever does. other than its fso, snapshots and scenarios.

as for my pic. i choose the
IAR-80.

Fairey Battle - but it'll have to be perked.   :D

Round out the Japanese and Russian plane sets, this is a must.

Some Italian planes would be nice, there were quite a few that were very elegant.
