Did they have some kind of auto groundspeed thingy in WWII? Something that magically told them "your airspeed is 280...but your ground speed is 348, make sure to type in the right speed."
Instead of the skill-less "hold a key for a couple of seconds for perfect calibration", I would like the manual way brought back to the mains...they one where you need to manually set the target altitude and manually hold your crosshair on a fixed point on the ground to set your ground speed.
