I think that a wav sound would be much more immersive.  What do you call those?  Taunts, or something like that?

Well, I know that we already have vox.  Sometimes, especially when I am able to fly, I cannot use my vox because it would interfere with others in the room (sleep, watching tv, reading, etc).  So, a couple of button activated range vox calls:    "I have blood on my windscreen"......"That's gonna leave a mark"........... "flight lead, I am headed for home"........"I've got nothing left but empty belts, if I could I'd throw those at 'em too"......

Also, an automatic sound file could play over range when you received damage / pilot wound:   "I'm dumping fuel"............  "Sarge keeps putting parts on this crate, they keep knockin' em off"........... "I'm hit, I wasn't supposed to be the target today"........

How about a simple red "+" (or if ya want to be fancy, a simple red/white cross graphic similar to the chess piece graphics already used on tags) or two that apears before/efter a wounded friendly's tag?
