If he is anything like my yellow lab was, the snow drives him crazy because it smells like water to him but doesn't feel like it.
The real problem is anyone should feel like they can come to this forum and make a wish without being treated in a derogatory manner.  The only discussion should be centered around whether it would work, or how it would work and so on always in a respectful manner.

Our golden retriever thought snow was God's special gift to HIM. Would roll in it, tunnel under it, and generally have a blast. His very favorite was catching snow balls - so that no matter what time of year it was, if we yelled "Snowball!" he'd dash to the door and spin.

Only bad side of an afternoon of catching snowballs was that after we came in, he would need to pee about every 10 minutes...

Our dogs did the same thing, they couldnt figure out snowballs either.

Id throw one, it would disentigrate on impact and my dog would go digging trying to find it.

Wow, nice pic!  Also, is your lab part Rottie?  She has the same nose/ear line as one of my rotts.

I have a 12 year old Golden. and if there is one constant I've learned with goldens its "Ball is life" Doesnt matter the ball. Tennis ball, baseball, basket ball Snow ball. Hell, once he even tried to catch a rolling bowling ball.

Still. Best damn dog I've ever owned

Our guy once saw me playing catch with my son, and decided to get in on the act. He caught a long fly ball - a 40 yard throw - and, well, immediately decided he wished he hadn't. Lucky he didn't lose a tooth, or break his jaw.

After that, he hung his head and trotted over to the lounge chair my wife was stretched out on.

And yeah, he was the absolute best dog I've even seen.

The picture foreshortened her muzzle and the snow on her chest and under her chin makes her look "jowly".

I bet she looks more "normal" in profile.

My black lab Capri just turned 5, dog loves the snow when ever we take her up to Tahoe. Black labs are amazing, also, I've never owned anything than hunting breeds.

Just took this, and yes she is the runt of her litter, lol.
