Nice rotation
« on: March 08, 2011, 08:32:39 AM »
Off hours map stinks. Sick of it. Email me when this map is reset.  Why don't they post a map rotation for all arenas?

If the Bishops had simply let the Rooks take two or three of their
bases the other night, we would have been done with it by now.

I really don't understand why the map really makes a difference..?  and if it's so important why aren't you contributing to the base captures?  :headscratch:
I almost always just look for air fights, so I don't feel I have a place to complain about the maps.  also spend your time away making a new map. good bye  :old:

Are u complaining about Mindanao?  That's the only map with any consistent, decent action.  I say leave it up forever.

I really don't understand why the map really makes a difference..?

Just one example: It's hard to have any Gv action, much less a tank fight, on this map most of the time. Other maps do not have any CV's. Some maps have an initial setup that makes it hard getting any fight going for one country. And so on...

^THIS^

I started a thread in the Wishlist forum about adding additional GV spawns to existing maps, but it hasn't generated any interest.   :(

Sometimes the trick is to take what the terrain has to offer and view it as a chance to do something different.  I remember WAAAAAAAY back in the days of AH past when we first got the original "pizza" map.  It was the first BIG map, desert terrain, didn't have a lot of water (tough for an then F6F dweeb), and the bases weren't particularly that close together.  My general memory was it wasn't much of a furball map which was and still is my favorite part of the game.  For awhile I hated that map, there was much cursing and gnashing of teeth then one day I learned it had some great GV action.  I've never been a big gv'er but I drove many a tank on that map and had a great time doing it.

Amazing what you can have fun doing if you just take a step back and let yourself.

Well you can always do like I do when bored. Drive a GV for 2 sectors or take an ltv across a straight. Haven't been doing that as of late though.

Another fun thing is to sit in a manned ack with the tracers off. Can't hit squat but when you do it's awesome.

I like the smaller maps in the off hours. The action is intense.

ok vote yes on adding gv spawns to the maps lacking. +1 here

but I still stand by my thoughts on contributing to the war win vs. taking leave of action do to map playability. or wait maybe you just really do need that break.  :neener:

I did see that HTC changed the win the war percentage to 20, half of what it was before.   I'm sure it wouldn't be that difficult for a mega horde to manage now.  The change was obviously meant to help rotate the map some more.
