Just one example: It's hard to have any Gv action, much less a tank fight, on this map most of the time. Other maps do not have any CV's. Some maps have an initial setup that makes it hard getting any fight going for one country. And so on...
Sometimes the trick is to take what the terrain has to offer and view it as a chance to do something different. I remember WAAAAAAAY back in the days of AH past when we first got the original "pizza" map. It was the first BIG map, desert terrain, didn't have a lot of water (tough for an then F6F dweeb), and the bases weren't particularly that close together. My general memory was it wasn't much of a furball map which was and still is my favorite part of the game. For awhile I hated that map, there was much cursing and gnashing of teeth then one day I learned it had some great GV action. I've never been a big gv'er but I drove many a tank on that map and had a great time doing it.
Amazing what you can have fun doing if you just take a step back and let yourself.
