Flew through the hangar club
« on: April 09, 2000, 03:07:00 AM »
I propose we start a new club here at AH.  Qualifications are that you flew through the double hangars at a base.

I'll be the charter member, and I have attached a film proving my accomplishment.  (Note:  I actually tried to go through twice, but didn't quite make it on the second pass.  You can see it on the film.
)

If anyone can fly through the double hangars inverted, now that would be impressive!  I crashed both times I tried.

Flying through the hangar is, was and will forever be old hat.

Do it inverted.. then you are in the club.

Inverted in a b17?    (Does a b17 even fit through the door?)

Well I guess I'll warm the 202 back up for another try.

Your wish is my command.  I just filmed two flights of me going through the hangar offline.  The first has me going right-side up through two hangars that are right next to one another (in one pass).  The second film has me flying through one hangar inverted.

Now the big question is... umm... how the hell do I attach a file here?  Or link to one?  Or whatever?  I'd be happy to post it.

Do I win anything?

Wow, I must be bored.  I just filmed me going through the hangar "row" (two hangars, one right after the other) inverted in a single pass.

As before, I'll be happy to provide a link for it when I figure out how.

Do it in combat and get your pursuer to crash while trying to follow.

I've done it through the 2 side by side hangers in a C47 (Not Inverted - Can't get the C47 to fly wrong side up, Anyone else).

Yes but the best way (and it can be done ) is to fly through the first upright then quickly roll inverted and fly through the second then back level and climb out. try it, its fun

We put the hangers in for this very reason! I have flown thru the large double hangers inverted, and the small double hangers regular, but the REAL trick is........ Fly thru the vehicle hangers at the vehicle spawn point........ that's fun! haven't done it inverted yet.
